Why it is so important to prebook your Kent newborn photoshoot

Capturing your newborn baby is one of the most important photoshoots of your life. It’s right up there being one of the most important and precious times in your and your baby’s life. If you are after those sleepy shots you see on my social media, and here on my web site, it’s best to have your photoshoot between 10-21 days old. However, I will happily photograph your new baby up until about 10 weeks. At this point, there is then a gap for a baby photoshoot and the next best stage is one of my older baby sessions, shot at around 8 months, when they can confidently sit. Newborns change so fast, literally by the week and often, when I see my babies back in the studio 2-3 weeks later to select their images, they are already so different, so to not capture these early memories would be such a shame.

Please do get in touch once you have had your second main scan, at around 20-23 weeks. At this point, we use your due date, and get 3 dates into my diary, covering an early, on-time and late arrival. I only take a limited number of pre-booked newborns into my diary to ensure I can keep flexibility for your shoot, as, let’s face it, babies can be unpredictable in their arrival!! (One of mine arrived at 32 weeks, in 37 minutes and could have actually be born at my desk as I was at work!).  I am booked months in advance, for example, right now, I have no pre-booked spaces for the next two months and only 2 spaces left for 3 months from now.

Should you be reading this and you haven’t booked in advance, please do get in touch. I can pretty much always offer you a shoot, however, there may be reduced flexibility.

My shoots are always baby-led; if your baby is awake or asleep, I will be entirely led by them and will often capture a mixture of both, which is lovely. I always want my parents involved and you are a big part of these shoots, if you want to be. Siblings too are most welcome and I love capturing that relationship they have with their new brother or sister.

For more examples of my work, please check out my google page here, and my instagram page here. For all my price details and a bit more about how these shoots work, please see my website here.
