Welcome to my studio, I am Nina – a lifestyle Kent cake smash Photographer.

Booked to celebrate your baby turning one, studio cakes smash shoots provide timeless, natural images of the most precious milestone of your baby turning one.

Shot in my signature style, featuring minimal props and a muted white or pastel shade colour scheme, my cake smash sessions are designed to focus on your baby without any elements that could be distracting to the eyes – giving you Wall Art worthy images to take pride of place in your home.

My light and airy, spacious Kent newborn photography studio is located in my home in Bexley Village DA5 and clients travel from further afield as well as locally. Situated 10-15 minutes from the Dartford Crossing on the M25 and with great links to the A20/M20 & M2 makes this super easy from anywhere in Kent and parts of Essex. Abbey Wood on the new Elizabeth line is a 10 minute cab ride making much more of London an easy journey.

HOW IT WORKS

Sessions are lots of fun and usually shot to mark the milestone of your baby turning one (sometimes these are booked for second birthdays too).

These sessions last approximately one hour and will include family photographs and siblings too if applicable.

Once booked, I will schedule a zoom meeting so we can say hello “face to face” ahead of the shoot and I can go through any questions you have and let you know what to expect at your shoot.

The session itself will be totally led by your baby, to capture them in their naturally perfect and pure beauty that will stay in your heart forever.

WHEN TO BOOK

3 BOYS & ME – KENT CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHER

I always encourage parents to book their session 2 months before, as this gives us plenty of time to prepare for your session.

I like to get your bespoke cake booked into my cake makers diary, we discuss your requirments to ensure you have the cake and colour scheme you wish. I also have a personalised wooden spoon with your babies name on made, this also give me time to book this in with my supplier.

Nearer your shoot date – we finalise your set choice, my sets are super understated and consiste of a simple tassle tissue paper garland, pastel shade matt balloons or my popular foliage hoops. My most popular colour choices are white, pale blue or pastel pink.

AFTER THE SESSION: YOUR IMAGES

After your session, I will work on creating your beautiful gallery of edited images.

Approximately 2-4 weeks after the session, I will welcome you back to the studio for your viewing appointment. I pride myself on offering a strict no hard sales policy: I want you to love the entire process and leave the studio with images you absolutely adore.

All prices are detailed below, so when you book you know exactly what to expect and budget for.

FAQS

My home studio is a relaxed space, decorated in white tones to suit my photography style. A relaxed space with chilled music, coffee, and a sofa to sit on and watch the photoshoot take place. Some shoots require more parental participation than others! but the feel is relaxed and informal.
Do you offer family studio shoots? During all studio shoots, I like to take the oppotunity to capture you as a family, in some, this is more involved than others. Newborn shoots I always like to get both parents to have a few shots taken with their baby. I do not offer full family shoots in my studio -these are either shot outdoors or in my client’s homes, please see my family page for more details.
What if someone is ill on the day? As a mum myself, I know how little ones can suddenly become unwell. Please just let me know as soon as possible and we will reschedule your shoot
What should we wear? For all my shoots I have a series of shoot guides that include a paragraph on what to wear. What you wear makes a big difference to your shoot so clients find this advice super helpful
What procedures do you have in place for COVID? Updted July 2022 I wear a mask for newborn photoshoots. Hand sanitizer available if required, I use this frequently when handeling newborns masks are not required for studio visitors but can be worn at your choice, this will be updated along with any guideline changes. A lateral flow test is taken for newborn shoots only. Any questions regarding COVID please ask, my aim is for you to feel secure during your photoshoot and for me to ensure everyones safety.
