Studio and “at home” newborn photography now available in a new style, COVID-compliant, newborn shoot.

Having been closed for newborn photography since March and moving these outdoors for the summer, I am now adapting these sessions again. As the weather closes in, outdoor photography for newborns is no longer practical so I now have the following to offer:

Studio

My home pop up studio is now open for newborns. Sessions will now be totally “hands off” by myself and all handing will be done by baby’s parents. I will maintain a one metre-plus distance and a mask will be worn. Blankets used for the session will either be brought along by parents or supplied by me, washed, sanitised and set aside for a minimum of 3 days before being used again.

I will guide parents in how to recreate the kind of shots that I like to take; this will be a joint effort and each session will be different. As always, siblings can join the session for a short while to take some sibling shots, however, I do not recommended siblings stay in the studio for the duration of the shoot.

Shorter sessions now last approximately one hour, cost £150 and inlclude 3 digital images. More images are available to purchase, should you wish, at special offer package prices including £100 for 15 images and £150 for all 30. I have some stunning frames for newborns which will be on display and available to purchase, should you wish.

At home – Lifestyle sessions

I have started to offer my signature sessions again. These involve me spending time in the family home. These sessions run in a very documentary-style way with time spent photographing the whole family together, including sibling shots where applicable, and photographs of your newborn on their own. Again, I will keep session times down and aim to spend an hour with you rather than two hours. These sessions currently cost £50 for your shoot fee, and packages start at £299 for around 40 digital images, with 10 matching prints and a mobile app. Packages including frames or coffee table books are also available. These sessions can only take place where space allows. There must be a miminum space of 1 metre in the area that I will photograph in. We will need to have a discussion before confirming your booking and if possible, a look at some photographs of the spaces I can use will be very handy, before I decide if the session is possible. Again, sessions are totally “hands off” with parents moving their baby for me for the photographs. I will wear a mask during these sessions.

As we are all having to adapt to our new normal, I will constantly update my sessions. The safety of my clients, myself and my own family are paramount. This is why I have taken 6 months to begin to offer these kind of sessions again. All my sessions will run in a COVID-compliant manner – a set of procedures will be sent to you ahead of the shoot. I am also offering all my clients a COVID Guarantee – this ensures you will not be out of pocket should the session need to be cancelled due to COVID. Sessions are either fully refundable or transferable should that happen.

I am so pleased to be offering newborn sessions again. I am a firm believer in finding a way to continue to do the things we love to do, and capture these precious early memories that are so fleeting, whilst adapting for the ever-changing cirucmstances we find ouselves in now.

i look forward to photographing you!
