One last time

One last time – memories of our time at Mark Warner Levante 2013-2018 – with our little group of 24!

One last time to see the sunrise and walk barefoot through the resort before anyone is up, to grab a coffee and and upload the previous day’s photographs. One last time for the boys to consume their own body weight in Nutella pancakes for breakfast and one last time to jump in the pool. One last time for Mum and Dad to have sun downers with their friends, staying way too long in wet swim wear before the 10 minute dash to get changed for dinner (we are getting pretty quick!) and one last time to sail a boat, ride the crazy sofa and wake board before you’ve even had your breakfast. One last crazy time to squeeze in a tennis match (really boys?), one last time to win at tipsy tennis (what happened team – we’ve been victorious for 3 years?!!). One last time to walk to the top of the hotel, collect a certificate from your 2 weeks. One last time to grab a bite to eat at the buffet, sitting with your friends that one last time. One last peaceful time to see the sun rise on the beach – silence befalling this spectacle of nature that will never cease to amaze. One last time to take a boat out to sea, to feel that wind on your face and the salt that stays in your hair till bath time and one last bonkers time to play man hunt round the hotel with your gang of friends that’s so large it’s bordering on being intimidating!!

For me these years spent at Levante have seen me go from a shaking mess in a sail boat to tearing vertically across the sea hanging out the top (not the correct technical term for this I’m sure!) in crazy wind having more fun than I think I have ever had in all my years. Covered in bruises but each “ouch” brings these memories crashing back.

One last goodbye at the airport – but plans to see our wonderful friends very soon. Levante 2018 – you’ve been the best blast yet and here’s to next year’s amazing holiday with wonderful friends – wherever that journey will take us…
