Yep, sadly this title is indeed correct!! It’s taken me until now to write this blog post. Last summer saw me spend two nights in the beautiful lavender fields at The Hop Shop, Castle Farm, Shoreham. This place is amazing; the summer sees visitors come from far and wide to take tours of the fields, have picnics among the lavender or take advantage of a truly relaxing lavender massage in a special area in one of the lavender fields. 

This was the second year I had booked to photograph my clients here. Last year I spent one evening photographing families and had an absolute blast. This year I booked two nights, and could have booked a third if it had been possible to fit this into my crazy July schedule. My priority booking list already has enough names on it for 5 full evenings of shoots here. I’ll be getting in touch with everyone as soon as the farm lets me know the possible dates. 

Shoots are always in mid to late July and run in the evenings between 5.30-8.30PM. I always try to book shoots after the schools have broken up for summer – that way, no one needs to worry about bed time (that’s if you’re like me and it all goes out the window when school’s out!) Last year, sessions cost £100 and lasted 20 minutes, and included 3 digital images. More images are available to purchase, should you wish, and almost all my clients bought their full set of images for an additional £150 (for a total of 33 pictures). There are smaller packages available too, and my printers were busy making lots of canvas products and large prints for my clients’ walls. The light was just perfect and I was so pleased to be able to deliver lots of varied galleries of beautiful pictures to all my clients.
