Fathers Day mini shoots at Lesnes Abbey ruins, Abbey Wood, Bexley.

This year I decided to run some Fathers Day mini shoots at Lesnes Abbey ruins, Abbey Wood, Bexley. The sun was shining very brightly as I headed down to meet several families and their wonderful children for a day of Fathers Day photo shoots. Lesnes Abbey ruins, Abbey Wood, Bexley,  is one of my favourite places to photograph young families, the juxtaposition of the 14th century ruins with the modern back drop of Thamesmead makes for some wonderful pictures. The children all enjoyed the newly refurbished formal gardens, and the paths that lead round towards the wood. We found lots of dandelion clocks which the children really enjoy and its great to get pictures of them with these, something only possible at this time of year. Some brought their scooters and whizzed around the paths and others happily ran around having a blast.

Lesnes Abbey has undergone some recent refurbishment, and it really is a lovely place to spend the day. It has plenty to keep the children occupied, and the adults too! There is now a brand new cafe bar and the all important toilet facilities too! A wonderful formal garden, woods, plenty of space for a picnic and a game of football. Fossil digging in the woods and a swings park not too far away at the bottom of the hill.

If you wish to book your children in for a mini shoot, or your family in for one of my lifestyle shoots, please just drop me a line nina@3boysandmephotography.co.uk and ill look forward to documenting your day in the same way I did for my families here….Fathers Day mini shoots at Lesnes Abbey ruins, Abbey Wood, Bexley.
