Back in October (yes, this is how far behind I am!) I met with this lovely family who live really close to Greenwich Park. I love shooting at Greenwich, it’s the most beautiful place and a perfect back drop for the outdoor part of a family shoot. I love the fact that, if the weather plays ball, you can get some great shots with the London skyline in the background, and of course, all the amazing architecture around the naval college and observatory, not to mention the spectacular natural beauty of the place. We arranged to meet early on the day the clocks went back and I was soon parked up and saying hello to the most amazing little man and his lovely Mum and Dad. This little chap was absolutely fascinating to talk to; his knowledge of the world around him was incredible and don’t even get me started on his fantastic reading skills! I was blown away by the books he was reading, he clearly loves it and it showed through when he shared a book with Mum and Dad while I took some pictures. I was able to capture some great, authentic moments with him and Mum […]
Wow – I loved this wonderful Lifestyle shoot in Camberwell for siblings 2 1/2 years and 6 weeks old. A train and tube journey up to Camberwell in London saw me photographing this wonderful family with their latest new addition, baby Roddy- 6 1/2 weeks new. From the moment the front door opened, I knew I was going to get on well with this bunch, Mum and Dad were so welcoming and friendly as was their little man who was delighted to show off his new baby brother. We started this shoot at home, and got some fabulous shots in the family kitchen area, newly built, with amazing floor to ceiling windows – which gave me lots of ideas for my soon to start project at my home. The light was fabulous in this area so we stayed here to document the family as they carried on with their everyday stuff. It was an absolute pleasure to capture Mum and Dad sharing a book with the boys – you could see how much this was enjoyed as Arlowe selected his favourite books from a large pile. Arlowe really enjoyed showing me his animals, naming each one and making the noises […]
This was one of my recent shoots – I’m catching up backwards! A fabulous sun set lifestyle shoot at Lessness Abbey. I met this wonderful pair and their lovely Mum and Dad at 5pm, at this time of year this is a fabulous time for a photoshoot. If you’re lucky, you’ll get those amazing, hazy, rim lit images that make the most stunning portraits. Of course we need the sun for these! but that aside, this time of the evening is just perfect, so providing your children are up for a run around post tea time, (and lets face it, what child, small or big isn’t!), ill be booking you in for this time of day. L and R, Mum and Dad, met me at Lessness Abbey, I love this place, the juxtaposition of the 14th century ruins with the more modern day high rise blocks of flats in the background always makes a stunning back drop for any photographs taken here. We had a great time running round the place and enjoying the early evening sun. We walked into the woods, around the ruins and the formal gardens making the most of the opportunities to get some lovely portrait […]
It was my absolute pleasure to welcome F back for another photoshoot with her Mum now she is almost 6 months old. Babies change so fast when they are this small and any age is a great time to capture some wonderful images to treasure as they grow. She giggled her way through the entire session, and certainly loved the camera. It was great to capture some really tender moments showing the great connection between Mum and Baby which really shine through these pictures. Baby sessions at this age will focus around baby and mainly take place in the master bedroom. The white bedding, and great light in this room made a perfect back drop for this session. Looking forward to seeing you again!
It was my absolute pleasure to photograph this adorable baby girl during a lifestyle photography session during December 2016. Its been a while since I’ve been able to get my hands on such a tiny person, with the youngest of my boys having just turned 8, it made a nice change to have a 4 month old around. This little lady was an absolute corker, she smiled her way through the entire session, with lots of giggles had by all of us. We took a break mid way through for a feed, which is never a problem, as, lets face it, when a baby needs feeding – they need feeding! There was time for an outfit change, with so many adorable clothes to choose from, this was tough! but it was nice to have 2 different outfits for the shoot. Mum had bought along F’s favourite teddy too, and this is a lovely memory to capture, quite often our little ones keep these teddy’s and blankets to a much older age, and its lovely to see they were there from the start! With babies, the sessions will run differently, if they are not yet moving about. A nice bright room […]
