Bluebells, Bluebells, Bluebells!
From my early days as a photographer, I’ve always longed for that time of year when the bluebells adorn our local woodland. Sea’s of bluey, purple, loveliness stretching as far as the eye could see, transforming the drab winter landscape that we are leaving behind.
Always keen to combine two things I love, capturing my boys, running around the woodland at this time of year and my love of photography, Im always so excited when the first hint of blue starts to show itself . We are always careful I hasten to add – not trampling on any of these precious plants. Lifestyle photography, combined with this beautiful landscape and your on to a winner in my book!
I love the different shots you can get, close up with a sea of purple around your little one, step back, to see the woodland stretching out into the distance, a carpet of blue/purple before you.
This year, for the first time, ill be offering mini sessions, and I’m really excited. Its going to be busy, my weekend sessions sold out immediately and my pre school – week day ones are filling up fast. This opportunity doesn’t last long. We have about 2 weeks to enjoy these beautiful plants before they begin to disappear, back to were they came from, to recharge their batteries for next year.
This year, I’m so excited to be working at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens in Sevenoaks who have very kindly allowed me access to their beautiful woodland when they are closed to the public. Im so excited about the sessions booked here as this is another fabulous woodland , transformed as these beautiful plants come into flower. If you’ve never visited Riverhill, please do check out their website, we have had many a fabulous family day out here – don’t get me started on the tea and cake served in the cafe there!!
