An extended family shoot at Hall Place Bexley
This bunch were loads of fun. We had booked in this photoshoot quite ahead of time and I was really looking forward to meeting them. The family were a friend of a good friend of mine, and included her husband and two children (with another on the way), her brother and his wife and new baby and Nanny and Grandad, (who the children call Nonno & Nonna). We were really lucky with the weather, a beautiful early autumn September’s day greeted us as we met in the car park at Hall Place.
I love this place as a venue for my photoshoots, especially my extended family ones. There are so many different places to capture wonderful shots and it really is just like going for a nice family walk with me tagging along to capture the day. We started at my favourite line of trees, a perfect straight line that all the little ones like playing peek-a-boo round. I was also able to get some lovely relaxed and candid shots of the adults; they were not paying me any attention as they thought I was busy taking photos of the kids which gave me a great opportunity to snap away, all which I later converted to black and white – of course!!
We continued to walk towards the cafe and over the river. I had lots of opportunities to get Nonna & Nonno to sit in various different places, either on logs or benches, and took plenty of natural shots of them with their grandchildren.
I also took the opportunity to get individual family group shots, pictures of the grandchildren all together, pictures of the adults in couples and lots of pictures of the group as a whole.
These kind of family shoots last for around 2 hours and result in around 50 images to choose from. Most families will buy the package that means they purchase all their digital images with 10 prints up to 12 x 8. I offer mixed sized prints so you can update frames you already have some at home, if you wish.
If you’re interested in extended family shoots, please do get in touch and also check out my other blog posts here. These make wonderful presents for Grandparents in particular and result in lots of lovely images. Vouchers are available – perfect for Mothers’ Day presents!!
