An Extended Family Christmas shoot
I met this family back on one of my Bluebell shoots in April at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, Sevenoaks. I had lots of fun; these two boys were full of energy and we had a really lovely, lively session.
Dad had mentioned photographing his extended family when he first got in touch earlier on in the year but getting everyone together was always a challenge.
I am always happy to work in those down days between Christmas and New Year so when they got in touch to see if I could photograph their Christmas get together on the 29th December I was delighted.
This shoot was so much fun. It comprised Nanny, Grandma and Grandad and two families with two children each. I started photographing the Grandparents and the boys playing with their new Christmas toys, before heading outside with the whole family. The garden was beautiful and perfect for candid shots of the family playing. It was lovely to photograph the grandparents with all their grandchildren on the swings and it’s one of my favourite shots from the session.
Group set up shots as well as more candid shots followed and now this lovely family have lots of photographs to remember their day by. Plenty of which will no doubt be displayed in frames around all their homes.
Extended family shoots is something I am booked to photograph often. If you’re having a get together, or a Sunday lunch maybe, or just fancy meeting me in somewhere like Hall Place, or up in London, I would love to capture your family. Most of my clients say it’s like a nice walk with me casually taking photographs as they go.
Early booking is advised as these sessions are almost always weekends or school holidays. To book, just send me an email at:
