A pre Christmas lifestyle shoot for an 8 month old and her family.

Im so behind on blogging my recent sessions! My New Years resolution is to catch up, and no better place to start that with this lovely family, who’s lifestyle shoot was just before Christmas. This little lady was great! she was so full of cheeky smiles that lit up her entire face! and I loved photographing her, with her Mum and Dad, in their own home.

Starting at home is great. Children love having their own things around them and a shoot often starts with Mum and Dad having a coffee while I get to know your little ones by playing with their toys and generally letting them get used to me. I like to include your home in the shoot, as its a great moment to look back on when the children grow up. With my boys now being 13,12 and 9 – I’m astounded to see that my lounge used to look like the Early Learning Centre shop at Bluewater! i’m not joking! and it now makes us all smile and takes us right back to those days of little sleep, and tunes that played over and over from steering wheels to funky footprints and the like!

This Little lady loved playing with her toys and having story time with Mum and Dad. We then moved into the kitchen for a snack and I took some great shots of her in her highchair. The shoot continued upstairs with some shots in her cot and playing peek-a-boo in the mirror before getting everyone on Mum and Dads bed for some family photos.

Next, we headed to Danson Park, Bexleyheath. Its a fab place to continue your shoot and I love the formal garden there. We looked for fish in the pond, watched a wedding group that were also making use of the great space, and then headed to the swings.

Lifestyle shoots start in your own home in a relaxed, informal and documentary fashion and, weather permitting, head outdoors for the second half of your shoot. Shoots last around 2 hours and I am currently taking bookings for 2018. Weekends are already quite busy but I do still have availability so just get in touch to find out more.
