A Commercial Shoot for City IT Recruitment Firm Burns Sheehan

This is by far the biggest job I have undertaken to date. When the brief came in I was so excited as it included phrases such as “edgy” “black and white”, and “looking away from the camera casual shots” to update imagery for their new website.

I went to meet with Fleur and Chris who were in charge of coordinating the shoot and ensuring I understood exactly what was required. We took a walk from their office on top of Monument Station, over the bridge and into Shad Thames. I’m often here with families and I knew a few key places that I thought would work. We spent just over an hour wandering, chatting and taking test shots, to scout out the locations we would use.

The shoot was booked and it was a balmy, hot day in June. The scheduling of this shoot had been a challenge and Fleur and I went back and forth as we tried to work out the best way to get the teams of 6 to do the 10 minute walk to the location whilst ensuring it had the minimum impact on the day’s work. I had spent several hours with post it notes on my massive white board, moving around groups of staff as we worked this out. My lovely colleague and friend, Binnie Grant, an excellent photographer and videographer, helped me talk it through and come up with a plan which, on the day, was bang on target. No mean feat with so many staff!

We overlapped groups to allow for larger group shots of 12 and had a full-on day finishing with hundreds of images. I got some great shots which I’m really excited for you to see. All staff had about 4 different head shots, all delivered in black and white and followed the brief exactly; edgy, quirky and far removed from anything traditional, which is exactly what they wanted.

If you‘re looking for this kind of shoot, please do get in touch. If your office is larger than 40, I work with a professional colleague and we can both come in to ensure minimum impact on your business to provide you with the desired outcome in a time efficient way.

Here is a review from Burns Sheehan about the shoot “We worked with Nina on a corporate photoshoot to capture some individual & team shots for our new upcoming website launch.  Working with a team of 50 people & managing to stick to the time schedule, as well as managing to capture some great photos that everyone loves.  Nina is great to work with & manages to bring both professionalism & fun to a shoot.  The time she spent planning beforehand really did help the day to go smoothly.  I would definitely recommend working with Nina on a photoshoot.
