I was delighted to be asked to cover this very special event, for two young ladies aged 22 months and just 14 weeks. The christening was in the beautiful village of Horton Kirby, at the church there and afterwards at the church hall.

I had headed over to meat Kate and the girls the week before the christening, and I was nice to get to say hi , see the church hall and wander over to the church, just to see where everything was. Horton Kirby is a beautiful village, and we were blessed with wonderful weather.

I made sure I was at the church in good time, to capture the guests arriving, I love doing this, and its nice to take informal, documentary pictures of your guests and their children. The Christening itself was lovely, lots of laughter, and of course, a few tears at the actual moment of their baptism with water on their heads!

I took the opportunity to take some wonderful group, and individual family shots, outside the church before we all took a slow wander, back to the village hall, for a celebration party. Soft play had been set up for the children, which was a massive hit, and they all really enjoyed the wheelie cars that were dotted around. Adults had a great time, catching up, having a drink and some food.

Before I said goodbye, I was able to take some more family group shots, in the small garden there, a great time to capture your extended family that have come together, specially for the occasion!
